Waziri wa Mambo ya Ndani Kipchumba Murkomen ameamuru kupeleka timu za usalama wa aina nyingi kote nchini mbele ya mvua nzito inayotarajiwa wakati wa wikendi wa Idd-ul-Fitr. Kwa mujibu wa maagizo yaliyotolewa Machi 19, 2026, timu kutoka Jeshi la Ulinzi la Kenya (KDF), Huduma ya Polisi ya Taifa (NPS), Huduma za Walinzi wa Pwani za Kenya (KCSG), na Maafisa wa Utawala wa Serikali ya Taifa (NGAO) wamewekwa katika maeneo hatari kote nchini. Onyo la Idara ya Hali ya Hewa la Kenya kutoka Machi 18 linasema mvua nzito itaanza Ijumaa, itafikia kilele wakati wa wikendi, na itaendelea hadi Jumanne. Maeneo yanayoathiriwa ni pamoja na Bonde la Ziwa Victoria, Bonde la Rift, nyanda za juu za kati, na Nairobi, pamoja na kaunti kama Turkana, Samburu, Migori, Nyamira, na nyingine nyingi kama Kisii, Kericho, na pwani kama Mombasa na Kilifi. Katika msimu wa mafuriko uliopita, vifo 73 vimeripotiwa, saba wamepotea, na watu 68,975 wamehama nyumbani kutoka kaya 13,795.
