The Mercado Madriles Reina Victoria, an 820-square-meter space, has opened on Avenida Reina Victoria with five gastronomic stalls blending traditional and global flavors. Inspired by international markets, it aims to be a social and cultural hub in the Cuatro Caminos area. It offers options from Spanish classics to Asian and healthy cuisine, with an average price of 25-30 euros.

Located next to the VP Sognio Metropolitano hotel in the Cuatro Caminos area, Mercado Madriles Reina Victoria marks the evolution of Madrid's gastronomic stalls into standalone street spaces. Designed by the Mesonero Romanos studio, it features a cozy interior patio and seating for 250 diners. It opens daily from 11 to 23:30, extending to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Javier Pérez Jiménez, general director of VP Hoteles and Ginkgo Restaurantes, states: "We wanted to combine the advantages of a restaurant with those of a market; this makes our space have the design and warmth of a restaurant and the gastronomic offer of a small market." He adds that it is a place "with class, but for the neighborhood residents to enjoy."

Its inspirations include London's Mercato Mayfair, Mexico's 2014 Mercado Roma, and Madrid's 2014 San Ildefonso. The five stalls stand out for their diversity: Tapeo Madriles offers classics like Iberian ham croquettes, potato tortilla, and sherry-braised cheeks; Taco Santo features guacamole, quesadillas, and cochinita pibil tacos; Kung Food serves gyozas, baos, and red tuna donburi; Healthy Canalla proposes hummus, herb-marinated salmon, and chimichurri beef; and Pan.Delirio, Javier Cocheteux's bakery, includes toasts, focaccias, and its award-winning roscón, named Madrid's best in 2019-2020, open from 7 to 21.

Gingko Bar complements with beers and wines, while Gingko Cocktail specializes in author cocktails. The address is Avda. Reina Victoria, 12, phone 91 183 18 12.
