Raia wa Nigeria anashtakiwa kwa kusafirisha heroin ya Ksh milioni 10 Mombasa

Mwanaume wa Nigeria mwenye umri wa miaka 35 ameshtakiwa katika mahakama ya Mombasa kwa madai ya kusafirisha heroin yenye uzito wa gramu 3,265 na thamani ya Ksh 9,795,000. Tukio hilo lilitokea tarehe 15 Aprili 2026 katika eneo la Kadzandani, Kisauni, Mombasa. Pia ameshtakiwa kwa kuwa nchini bila hati halali.

Okwara, raia wa Nigeria, alifikishwa mbele ya Hakimu Mwandamizi Gladys Ollimo na kushtakiwa kwa makosa ya kusafirisha dawa za kulevya kinyume na sheria za dawa za kulevya na psychotropic.

Prosecution ilisema Okwara alipatikana na heroin hiyo tarehe 15 Aprili katika Kadzandani, Kisauni, Mombasa. Pia alishtakiwa kwa kuwa nchini bila pasipoti au kibali halali, kwani ni raia wa Nigeria bila msamaha.

Okwara alikana mashtaka yote mawili wakati wa kusomewa. Wakili wa Serikali wa Mashtaka (DPP) alipinga kuachiliwa kwa bond, akisema ni hatari kubwa ya kutoroka kutokana na uzito wa mashtaka na ukosefu wa makazi thabiti au hadhi ya uhamiaji halali.

Mahakama inatarajiwa kutoa uamuzi kuhusu ombi la bond kesho, Aprili 22.
