PUMA and JiyongKim debut collaborative V-S1 sneaker collection

PUMA has partnered with Korean designer label JiyongKim for their first collaborative collection, reinterpreting the classic V-S1 football boot. The sneakers feature sun-bleached surplus fabrics in ivory and black colorways, set to release on February 28 in select Asian markets. A pop-up event will celebrate the launch at JiyongKim's flagship store in Seoul.

Global sportswear brand PUMA has teamed up with emerging Korean designer JiyongKim for an inaugural collaborative collection centered on the V-S1 football boot. Announced on February 24, 2026, the partnership reworks the iconic silhouette using surplus fabrics from JiyongKim's atelier. These materials embrace natural stains and faded marks through a sun-bleaching process, resulting in subtle variations in surface and pattern on each pair.

The design incorporates layered construction with exposed stitching and raw finishes to highlight texture. Key details include a snap-button tongue for instep stability and a custom co-branded Lycra insole. Available in an ivory "CRAFT DW" and a black "CRAFT BLK" colorway, the sneakers are built to age gracefully, registering the wearer's daily use over time.

The collection releases on February 28 via PUMA, JiyongKim, and select retailers in Korea, Japan, and China. To mark the occasion, PUMA and JiyongKim will host a one-day pop-up exhibition at the JiyongKim Flagship Store in Seoul on the same date. The event will showcase the evolution from the V-S1 archive model to the collaborative version, displaying deconstructed components alongside JiyongKim's Spring/Summer 2026 collection.

This debut follows JiyongKim's preview of the project during Paris Fashion Week in January 2026, where the sun-bleaching technique was highlighted on the sneaker's upper fabric, complete with frayed edges and contrast stitching. Co-branding appears solely on the footbed.
