Ruto anamaliza ziara ya Gusii kwa kuzindua miradi mikubwa

Rais William Ruto amemaliza ziara yake ya siku nne katika eneo la Gusii kwa kuzindua miradi mingi ya maendeleo ili kuimarisha uungwaji mkono eneo hilo mbele ya uchaguzi wa 2027. Rais Ruto alizuru kaunti za Kisii na Nyamira, akizindua miradi kama ujenzi wa barabara, masoko, na makazi ya wanafunzi. Katika Kisii, aliweka jiwe la msingi la makazi ya wanafunzi katika Chuo cha Mafunzo ya Kimatibabu cha Nyamache, soko la Mogonga, na masoko 22 mengine kwa gharama ya Sh2.5 bilioni. Pia alizindua barabara ya Bobaracho-Tingá inayoelekea Kiwanda cha Majanichai cha Gianchore.

Katika Nyamira, alizindua ujenzi wa barabara ya Eronge-Kebuse-Omonyenya yenye urefu wa kilomita 61 ambayo imefikia asilimia 58 ukamilike, pamoja na barabara za Keumbu-Kiendeke na Chabera-Nyamusi-Nyamaiya. Aliweka jiwe la msingi la makazi ya wanafunzi katika Chuo Kikuu cha Nyamira kwa Sh300 milioni, na serikali itatumia Sh500 milioni kujenga chuo hilo. Miradi mingine ni ukarabati wa uga wa Gusii kwa Sh1 bilioni na upandishaji hadhi wa Hospitali ya Kaunti ya Nyamira kwa Sh1 bilioni.

“Sita shiriki kampeni ya matusi wakati huu uchaguzi unakaribia na iwapo wapinzani wangu wataamua kuchukua mwelekeo huo, nitawajibu kupitia miradi ya maendeleo,” Rais Ruto alisema, akirejelea Dkt Matiang’i na aliyekuwa Naibu Rais Rigathi Gachagua.

Mchanganuzi wa kisiasa Dismas Mokua alisema kuwa ikiwa miradi hiyo itatekelezwa, itakuwa vigumu kukabiliana na ushawishi wa Ruto eneo hilo. Viongozi wa eneo hilo wamegawanyika kati ya kumuunga mkono Rais na Matiang’i.
