Sharon Osbourne defends AI Ozzy project from cash grab claims

Sharon Osbourne addressed backlash over an upcoming AI version of her husband Ozzy Osbourne during the latest episode of The Osbournes podcast.

Speaking alongside son Jack, Sharon pushed back against suggestions that the project is motivated by money. She said she does not need or want critics' money and emphasized that Ozzy would have supported the effort. The family described the AI avatar as a closed module designed to keep Ozzy's work remembered. Jack noted the technology is not connected to the internet and dismissed fears it could become uncontrolled. The project was announced in May through a partnership with Hyperreal and Proto Hologram. The avatar is scheduled to interact with fans in Proto Luma units in the U.K. and U.S. later this summer. Hyperreal CEO Remington Scott said the system uses patented Digital DNA technology to create real-time performances drawn only from approved source material.
