TSC inashiriki mkutano juu ya kuanzisha Kichina katika shule zote

Tume ya Huduma za Walimu (TSC) imeshikilia mkutano wa kiwango cha juu leo ili kujadili uanzishaji wa Kichina kama somo jipya katika shule zote nchini. Mkutano ulifanyika makao makuu ya TSC Nairobi na kuwahusisha viongozi muhimu wa elimu. Serikali inatarajiwa kuanza majaribio katika shule zilizochaguliwa kabla ya kuenea nchini kote.

Tume ya Huduma za Walimu (TSC) ilitangaza mipango ya kuanzisha Kichina kama somo jipya katika shule zote nchini. Mkutano wa leo ulifanyika makao makuu ya TSC Nairobi na uliongozwa na afisa mkuu mtendaji Evaleen Mitei.

"Tume leo imeshikilia mkutano wa kiwango cha juu kuhusu utekelezaji wa elimu ya Kichina Kenya," TSC ilitangaza. Waliohudhuria ni pamoja na Katibu Mkuu wa Mambo Makuu wa Elimu Beatrice Muganda Inyangala na Mkurugenzi wa Taasisi ya Confucius katika Chuo Kikuu cha Nairobi Wang Shangxue.

Viongozi walisisitiza utayari wa TSC kushirikiana na wizara zinazohusiana na taasisi za elimu ili kuanzisha somo hilo kwa utaratibu. Walimu watahitaji mafunzo maalum ili wawe tayari kutoa somo hili vizuri.

Serikali inatarajiwa kuanza majaribio katika shule zilizochaguliwa kabla ya kuenea nchini kote. Hatua hii inaambatana na uhusiano wa kiuchumi unaoongezeka na China na mahitaji ya ustadi wa lugha nyingi katika sekta kama biashara, utalii, teknolojia na diplomasia.
