七个发展中国家正在使用中国人工智能驱动的天气预警系统“妈祖”，以更好应对台风和暴雨等自然灾害。
中国气象局总工程师潘金军表示，该系统为发展中国家提供量身定制的早期预警服务。
“妈祖”全系统已在巴基斯坦、吉布提、埃塞俄比亚、约旦、蒙古、所罗门群岛和斯里兰卡部署，并融入日常运营。其公共云版本已由40个全球南方国家测试。
该系统以海神妈祖命名，旨在全球使用，并于去年在上海世界人工智能大会上首次亮相。
