Enforcement Directorate files PMLA complaint in visa fraud case

The Enforcement Directorate has filed a prosecution complaint under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act against Red Leaf Immigration Private Limited and several individuals for an alleged organised visa fraud racket targeting U.S. applicants.

The complaint names Amandeep Singh, Poonam Rani, Ankur Kumar Kehar, Nitin Vij, Kamaljot Kansal, Overseas Partner and Rudra Consultancy Services as accused. It follows multiple FIRs registered by police in Punjab and Delhi after complaints from the United States Embassy in New Delhi.

The agency stated that Red Leaf Immigration, managed by Amandeep Singh and Poonam Rani, charged applicants substantial amounts for forged educational certificates, fabricated experience documents and temporary fund arrangements. Overseas Partner and Rudra Consultancy Services arranged deposits of about ₹40 lakh into the bank accounts of 154 applicants to create a false impression of financial capability.

In February 2025 the ED searched locations linked to the accused and seized digital devices, transaction records, ₹19 lakh in cash and a one-kilogram gold bar. The agency quantified proceeds of crime at ₹2.14 crore and provisionally attached assets of equivalent value.
