The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) has issued a public notice for the provisional registration of four new political parties in Kenya. The parties are the National Forum Party (NFP), Clean Alliance Party of Kenya (CAP-K), New Face Party of Kenya (Face) and Mwongozo Mpya Party (MMP). Members of the public have seven days to submit objections.

These are the National Forum Party (NFP), Clean Alliance Party of Kenya (CAP-K), New Face Party of Kenya (Face) and Mwongozo Mpya Party (MMP), as preparations intensify for the 2027 elections.
NFP seeks colours green, black and red, with an "aspire mark" symbol and slogan "Tuko One, Tuko True." Its founders are James Munene Thuku, Elizaphan Mwangi Kamau and Chiboli Clare Muhele. CAP-K wants green, white, yellow and dark blue colours, a sweeping brush symbol and slogan "Sauti ya Haki." Founders include Margret Nekesa Barasa, Andrew Kimani Kamau and Ezekiel Nyameino Bosire.
The New Face Party of Kenya (Face) proposes brown, black and white colours, a Bluetooth icon symbol and slogan "Sauti ya Mwananchi, Nguzo ya Taifa." Its founders are Delvine Moraa John, Anguche Elvis Kongoti and Tarasila Kawira M’Liburu. Mwongozo Mpya Party (MMP) requests olive green, burnt orange and black colours, a phoenix symbol and slogan "Sote Pamoja." Founders are Macharia Njeru, Fatuma Ali Saman, Vincent Kibet Kiptoo, Annabel Njoki Mwangi, Hellen Keis and Steve Owuor Odera.
The public is invited to raise objections within seven days from the notice's publication date. These new registrations enter a tense political environment marked by internal and inter-party clashes in major groups like the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and United Democratic Alliance (UDA), with activity ramping up about 18 months before the 2027 polls.
