The Egyptian Countryside Development Company reviewed the latest progress on the National Project for the Reclamation, Cultivation and Development of 1.5 Million Feddan during a House of Representatives defence and national security committee meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Mohamed Abbas Helmy. Committee members discussed the project's role in bolstering national security along with food and water security and sustainable development.
Amr Abdel Wahab, Chairperson and Managing Director of the Egyptian Countryside Development Company, presented a full review of implementation rates and infrastructure work including roads, electricity and potable water services.
Abdel Wahab described the project as "a project for the people and by the people" that reflects the political leadership’s vision for building the New Republic.
Helmy praised the "Your Farm in Egypt" initiative as a successful national model.
