A fire broke out in a row house in Norsborg south of Stockholm on Sunday. Police suspect the blaze was deliberately set and are investigating it as serious endangerment, violation of the Flammable and Explosive Goods Act, and arson.
The alarm came in shortly after 1 p.m. Firefighters found flames shooting through the roof of a property in a row of three houses. Residents were quickly evacuated from the area.
The fire was under control by 3 p.m. and later fully extinguished. The apartment where the fire started is completely destroyed, but the flames did not spread to the other units.
No one was injured. Police have interviewed witnesses and suspect someone intentionally set the property alight by throwing flammable liquid or similar.
