Uppsala high school students graduate on Friday, June 5, expected to affect traffic in central parts of the city. Police have announced temporary closures along the parade route to manage up to 100 student floats and tractors.
Police in Uppsala warn of traffic disruptions on graduation day. Area police officer Hanin Boman states that closures are certain and that last year's adjusted route worked well.
Several streets will be temporarily closed, including Dag Hammarskjölds väg at Thunbergsvägen and Kungsgatan at Skolgatan. Motorists are urged to take the bus or bike instead.
Police's Magnus Jansson Klarin advises those who must drive to set out early. School graduation times range from 10.30 to 14.00.
