The Comisión para el Mercado Financiero canceled registrations of about 20 financial service providers on Friday for failing to comply with the Fintech Law.
Among the affected firms is Inversiones Plusservice SpA, linked to Operación Tokio and the Tren de Aragua. The company, registered since January 2, 2024, failed to submit updated information or request authorization within the deadlines set by NCG N°502 and article 13 of Law N° 21.521.
The CMF stated that these entities are no longer covered by the transitional authorization and cannot provide new financial services. They must refrain from new client operations and inform existing clients about the conclusion of ongoing ones.
The regulator also rejected applications from other entities such as Inversiones ABJ SpA, Orionx SpA and Factoring Nacional SpA for failing to address observations. Cancellations also include Iuinvest SpA, Pixeltec SpA and Frontal Trust.
