اعتمد معهد المعايير الإثيوبي 66 معياراً تم تقديمها في قطاع الإنشاءات والهندسة المدنية، حيث يختص 64 منها بالبناء بينما يتعلق اثنان منها بقطاع الأغذية، وذلك بهدف تعزيز الجودة والسلامة وتسهيل التجارة.

أديس أبابا. وافق مجلس إدارة معهد المعايير الإثيوبي على 66 معياراً مقدمة لقطاع ممارسات الإنشاءات والهندسة المدنية خلال جلسته العادية الخامسة في 9 ميازيا 2018 حسب التقويم الإثيوبي. ويقع 64 من هذه المعايير تحت مظلة الإنشاءات والهندسة المدنية، بينما تم اختيار معيارين لقطاع الأغذية. يوجه أحد معايير الأغذية عملية تدعيم المواد الغذائية الأساسية بحمض الفوليك للوقاية من المخاطر الصحية خلال موسم حصاد القمح. وذكر أتو بوروك هابتي، رئيس قسم العلاقات العامة والاتصال بالمعهد، أن المعايير المعتمدة قد تم تقييمها من حيث الجودة، وسلامة الإنسان والحيوان، وحماية البيئة، وفوائد تسهيل التجارة. وتتماشى هذه المعايير مع متطلبات التجارة الدولية، مما يعزز القدرة التنافسية ويضمن مراقبة الجودة للواردات. وحث المعهد المصنعين والمستوردين على تطبيق هذه المعايير لتحسين جودة المنتجات، وتسهيل عمليات التصدير والاستيراد الآمنة، والمساهمة في الاقتصاد الوطني وسلامة المستهلك. ويوفر المعهد خدمات المعلومات والتدريب والدعم الفني، مع توفر الوثائق في مركز التوثيق التابع له.
