Sebastián Bonafé refused to testify in the Junín femicide of Mercedes Errapán. The autopsy confirmed the 32-year-old victim was five and a half months pregnant.
Sebastián Bonafé refused to answer questions during the inquiry before prosecutor Fernanda Sánchez on Friday. He was then transferred to Penitentiary Unit No. 49.
The preliminary autopsy revealed that Mercedes Errapán suffered 12 stab wounds, a blow to the head and multiple fractures. The report ruled out the initial version of a gunshot and indicated extreme violence.
Bonafé is charged with femicide and kidnapping the victim's seven-year-old daughter. Prosecutors are considering adding aggravating factors such as torture and attempted homicide of the girl.
Searches turned up handwritten letters in which Bonafé detailed his plan to kill Errapán and flee. A grooming complaint filed days earlier by the victim prompted a police raid on July 3.
