Córdoba justice ordered preventive prison on Wednesday for Claudio Barrelier, Osvaldo Fassetta and Soledad Andreani over the femicide of 14-year-old Agostina Vega. Prosecutor Raúl Garzón issued the ruling, while a fourth suspect remains without resolution. The victim's mother was accepted as a plaintiff.
Prosecutor Raúl Garzón charged Barrelier with triple qualified homicide for treachery, cruelty and gender violence. Fassetta and Andreani face aggravated concealment charges for post-crime actions, including use of a Ford Ka to move the body.
The fourth detainee, Marianela Palmero, Barrelier's partner, did not receive preventive prison because she has not yet been questioned. She is accused of doubly qualified concealment after WhatsApp messages and her presence in the home on the night of May 23.
Melisa Heredia, Agostina's mother, was admitted as plaintiff and stated in an interview that Barrelier's entire circle is involved. Forensics detected blood traces in the bathroom of the Cofico neighborhood house where the crime occurred.
