Two young men were seriously injured in separate stabbings that took place less than three hours apart in the Madrid districts of Carabanchel and Usera early Saturday morning.
The first incident occurred around 3 a.m. in Carabanchel on Camino Viejo de Leganés. An 18-year-old man suffered a penetrating wound to his left hemitórax. Samur-PC teams stabilized him before transferring him to Hospital 12 de Octubre, where he remains in serious condition.
Less than three hours later, at approximately 5:40 a.m., a second attack took place in Usera on Calle Antonio Salvador 62. A 25-year-old man sustained cuts and incisions mainly to his head and back, possibly from machetes according to initial reports. Emergency services treated him and took him to the same hospital in grave condition.
National Police are handling the investigations into both incidents and have not ruled out any hypotheses at this stage.
