الولايات المتحدة تمنع مسؤولاً في الشرطة التنزانية من دخول أراضيها

حظرت الحكومة الأمريكية مسؤول الشرطة التنزاني فوستين جاكسون مافويل من دخول البلاد على خلفية اتهامات بتورطه في الإساءة إلى نشطاء.

أعلن وزير الخارجية الأمريكي ماركو روبيو عن هذا الحظر في 21 مايو 2026، بموجب المادة 7031(ج). وربطت التقارير المسؤول بالاحتجاز غير القانوني والتعذيب والاعتداء الجنسي على الناشطين بونيفاس موانجي وأغاثا أتوهير أثناء تواجدهما في تنزانيا في مايو 2025.

وكان الناشطان قد سافرا إلى دار السلام لحضور محاكمة زعيم المعارضة توندو ليسو، حيث جرى اقتيادهما من فندقهما واحتجازهما والاعتداء عليهما قبل أن يتم إلقاؤهما بالقرب من حدود بلديهما.

وعُثر على موانجي حياً في أوكوندا في 22 مايو 2025 بعد احتجازه لأكثر من ثلاثة أيام. وأكد روبيو أن هذا الإجراء يمنع مافويل من دخول الولايات المتحدة بسبب ارتكابه انتهاكات جسيمة لحقوق الإنسان.
