Croatia's Zmajska Pivovara has launched SIP, a new craft beer venue in Zagreb, to celebrate its 13th anniversary. The pub offers the brewery's full beer lineup, including exclusive limited editions, alongside American BBQ-inspired food. It serves as a hub for the city's growing craft beer community.
Zmajska Pivovara, one of Croatia's leading craft breweries, marked its 13th anniversary with the opening of SIP in Zagreb's Trnje district. Located at Trnjanska cesta 111a, the venue occupies a modernized industrial space that embodies the brewery's focus on creativity, innovation, and quality.
SIP goes beyond a standard beer bar by positioning itself as a center for experiencing and sharing craft beer culture. Patrons can sample the complete range of Zmajska beers, with limited-edition brews making their debut exclusively at this location. To commemorate the occasion, the brewery introduced three new beers and a special whisky called “Tale of the Dragon’s Tail 2025”.
The pub caters to seasoned beer aficionados as well as those new to craft brewing, providing a casual environment for socializing over drinks and meals. Complementing the beverages is a menu drawing from American BBQ traditions, featuring shareable plates prepared with a “low and slow” method. Meats are smoked for hours at low temperatures, yielding tender results with deep umami flavors that pair well with the beers.
This addition strengthens Zagreb's craft beer landscape, offering a dedicated space for enthusiasts to connect, explore flavors, and engage with the surrounding culture. Operating hours are Monday to Thursday from 12 to 24, Friday and Saturday from 12 to 01, and Sunday from 12 to 22, with the kitchen open until 22.
The opening highlights the expanding interest in craft brewing within the city, creating another venue for community gatherings.
