Tovejsopladning forvandler elbilbatterier til strømlagre

Elbilbatterier kan nu lagre overskydende strøm og levere den tilbage, når der er behov for det. München-ingeniøren Moritz Rupp kalder det indlysende, da de dyre batterier ellers står ubrugte hen i 23 timer i døgnet. Teknologien muliggør anvendelse til husholdningsstrøm eller salg til elnettet.

Düsseldorf. Elbilbatterier er i gennemsnit på 64 kilowatt-timer, hvilket er langt større end typiske hjemmebatterier på 5 til 10 kWh. "Og dette værdifulde, store batteri står statistisk set ubrugt hen i 23 ud af døgnets 24 timer, fordi bilen holder parkeret," siger den 39-årige elektroingeniør Moritz Rupp fra München.

Med tovejsopladning lagrer køretøjet overskydende solstrøm fra tagmonterede solcelleanlæg midt på dagen og sender det tilbage til boligen om aftenen. Dette sparer beboerne for at købe dyr strøm fra elnettet. Alternativt kan strømmen sælges til det offentlige elnet til spidsbelastningspriser om aftenen via elbørsen i Leipzig.

"Nogle ting er så indlysende og logiske, at man virkelig må spørge sig selv, hvorfor vi ikke har gjort det her i årevis," siger Rupp. "Det er faktisk en selvfølge." Den avancerede form er kendt som Vehicle-to-Grid, eller på tysk 'fra køretøj til elnet'.
