Lennakatten fejrer 150-års jubilæum den 27.–28. juni

Upsala-Lenna Jernväg, bedre kendt som Lennakatten, fejrer 150 år med ekstra tog og jubilæumsprogrammer den 27.–28. juni.

Jernbanen åbnede i 1876 mellem Uppsala og Länna for at transportere jern. Den blev hurtigt populær til fornøjelsesrejser blandt indbyggerne i Uppsala.

Museumsforeningen Museiföreningen Stockholm-Roslagens Järnvägar overtog driften i 1974. Uppsala kommun købte strækningen til Faringe i 1978. I dag driver omkring 250 frivillige jernbanen.

I løbet af jubilæumsweekenden vil togene køre non-stop hele weekenden og hele natten. Der er planlagt særlige programpunkter langs hele strækningen.
