Sernac summons Panini over Mundial 2026 album pre-sale failures

Chile's National Consumer Service has summoned Panini Chile S.A. following complaints about pre-sale delivery delays and poor customer service for the Mundial 2026 album. The action follows reports from buyers who did not receive orders on time.

The agency acted on Tuesday, May 12, after receiving multiple complaints about the Mundial 2026 album. Consumers said Panini promised shipments within a maximum of 15 business days, but the products did not arrive on time.

The items were already available in physical stores from May 1, while advance orders remained pending. In addition, the company's contact channels did not respond to calls, messages or emails.

Sernac gave Panini a 10-business-day deadline to provide details on transactions, dispatch dates and possible compensations. The company could face fines of up to 300 UTM per violation of the Consumer Law.
