The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported on June 19 that aftershocks ranged from magnitude 1.2 to 6.4. Of these, 2,040 were plotted and 90 felt by residents. Daily counts have declined overall since the initial quake in Maasim, Sarangani.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council confirmed the latest fatalities, all from Davao Occidental. Sarangani recorded 33 deaths, South Cotabato 24, and Davao del Sur one. At least 30 people remain missing and 1,399 injured.
Infrastructure damage reached P1.29 billion across 14 areas under state of calamity. Over 74,000 houses were damaged, including 13,700 totally destroyed. The Philippine Red Cross deployed 264 staff and volunteers with vehicles and equipment to support relief operations.
