Holstein Kiel secured a crucial 3-2 away win against VfL Bochum in the 2. Bundesliga. After nine winless competitive matches, the Storks ended their poor run and closed the gap to the first non-relegation spot to one point.

Holstein Kiel, coached by Tim Walter, started strongly and led 1-0 in the 8th minute through Kasper Davidsen, set up by Steven Skrzybski. Philipp Hofmann equalized for VfL in the 15th minute.
