Vermummte Gruppe setzt roten Bus in Estación Central in Brand

Eine Gruppe von 10 bis 15 vermummten Personen hat am Dienstagnachmittag an der Ecke Avenida Matucana und Romero in Estación Central einen roten Bus in Brand gesteckt.

Nach Angaben der Carabineros zwangen die Vermummten gegen 12:40 Uhr die 30 Passagiere sowie den Fahrer, das Fahrzeug zu verlassen. Anschließend übergossen sie den Bus mit einer Brandbeschleunigerflüssigkeit und zündeten ihn an.

Die Passagiere und der Fahrer blieben unverletzt, der Bus brannte jedoch vollständig aus. Die Angreifer warfen Krähenfüße auf die Straße, um ihre Flucht zu erleichtern.

Sicherheitsminister Martín Arrau verurteilte den Vorfall und kündigte an, dass juristische Schritte geprüft werden. Der Delegierte der Metropolregion, Germán Codina, kritisierte den Missbrauch von Bildungseinrichtungen zur Erlangung von Straffreiheit.

Die Staatsanwaltschaft ordnete Ermittlungen durch das Labocar und die OS-9-Einheit der Carabineros an. Es wird untersucht, ob es sich bei den Tätern um Studenten der USACH handelt.
