IFP-Stadtrat Mbuso Mthimkhulu wird am Sonntag beigesetzt

Die Inkatha Freedom Party hält am Sonntag in Ulundi die Beerdigung ihres Stadtrats Mbuso Mzwandile Mthimkhulu ab. Der Vorsitzende für Gauteng wird die Grabrede halten. Mthimkhulu wurde letzte Woche nach einer Gemeindeversammlung erschossen.

Mbuso Mzwandile Mthimkhulu war als Stadtrat für die Inkatha Freedom Party bei der Rand West City Local Municipality in Gauteng tätig. Er wurde 2021 gewählt und war Mitglied im Ausschuss für öffentliche Finanzen der Gemeinde. Die Partei beschrieb ihn als jemanden, der seiner Gemeinde mit Demut und Integrität diente. Beamte merkten an, dass er sich während seiner Amtszeit stark für eine gute Regierungsführung und Rechenschaftspflicht einsetzte. Mthimkhulu wurde nach dem Besuch einer Gemeindeversammlung in Bekkersdal getötet. Sein Leichnam wird in seiner Heimat in Newlands, Ulundi, im Norden von KwaZulu-Natal beigesetzt. Bonginkosi Dhlamini, der IFP-Vorsitzende in Gauteng, wird bei der Trauerfeier sprechen.
