In the latest twist of the ongoing legal battle, Jada Pinkett Smith filed court documents to recover her full legal costs—nearly $49,000—from Bilaal Salaam after a judge on April 13 struck down the bulk of his November 2025 lawsuit alleging intentional infliction of emotional distress over purported 2021 threats. Her team argues the fees are reasonable and seeks full dismissal with no payout to Salaam.
This follows Jada's earlier February 2026 motion to dismiss the suit, which she described as false and part of a harassment campaign. Salaam, a longtime associate of Will Smith, claimed Jada threatened him at a 2021 birthday party amid family matters tied to Will's 2022 Oscars incident. Court documents obtained by Page Six indicate Jada's legal team wants the court to deny Salaam any relief.
