Lula startet Arbeiten an der Salvador-Itaparica-Brücke in Bahia

Präsident Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva nahm am Mittwoch (1.) an der Zeremonie zum Baubeginn der Salvador-Itaparica-Brücke teil, für die 11,6 Milliarden Reais investiert werden.

Das 12,4 Kilometer lange Bauwerk wird Salvador über die Baía de Todos-os-Santos mit der Ilha de Itaparica verbinden. Das Projekt ist Teil des Novo PAC und wird im Rahmen einer öffentlich-privaten Partnerschaft mit einem chinesischen Konsortium durchgeführt. Die Veranstaltung fand in Vera Cruz auf der Ilha de Itaparica statt. Lula warnte vor Immobilienspekulationen und betonte, es sei notwendig, die Verdrängung der angestammten Bewohner zu verhindern. Der Konzessionsvertrag läuft über 35 Jahre, wobei fünf Jahre für die Bauzeit geplant sind. Es wird erwartet, dass die Arbeiten in dieser Phase etwa 7.000 Arbeitsplätze schaffen werden.
