The Catalan company Mal Pelo presented its work 'We' last night at the Gran Teatro Falla in Cádiz, launching the twenty-fourth edition of the Cádiz en Danza festival.
Directed by María Muñoz and Pep Ramis, the piece featured twelve performers, including the three children of the creators. The choreography incorporates stage walking inspired by Steve Paxton and addresses themes such as intergenerational legacy and the normalization of historical conflicts. The show unfolded with music, texts in English and Spanish, and projections. Several solos stood out for their intensity, especially that of Martí Ramis Muñoz. 'We' premiered in 2025 and is scheduled to tour Spanish theaters in November and December. The festival will close on Sunday, June 13, with the work 'Calentamiento' by Rocío Molina and Pablo Messiez.
