Musiker treten bei der Spendenveranstaltung Artists for Gaza in London auf

Eine Reihe erfahrener britischer Musiker wird am 17. Mai im Londoner Scala bei einer Spendenveranstaltung der Initiative Artists for Gaza auftreten. Die Veranstaltung soll über Health Workers 4 Palestine Gelder für medizinische Hilfe im Gazastreifen sammeln.

Paul Weller, Madness, Primal Scream-Frontmann Bobby Gillespie, Sex Pistols-Bassist Glen Matlock und weitere Künstler werden im Scala live auftreten oder DJ-Sets spielen. Die Einnahmen kommen dem Gaza Medics Solidarity Fund zugute, der Entbindungsstationen wiederaufbaut und mobile Kliniken in der Region finanziert. Dies ist die dritte Veranstaltung dieser Art, nachdem zwei vorangegangene Konzerte mehr als 55.000 Pfund für den Gaza-Spendenaufruf von UNICEF eingebracht haben.
