Norwegian luggage brand db secures lvmh investment

Db, the Norwegian luggage company formerly known as Douchebags, has drawn backing from LVMH Luxury Ventures as it expands beyond action sports into the broader creative market.

The company was founded after Truls Brataas met skier Jon Olsson while surfing in Norway in 2009. They designed bags for extreme sports travelers and launched the first product in 2012 under the name Douchebags, which was later shortened to Db in 2019 to reflect wider use by students and professionals.
