Der Luxusriese LVMH hat eine Vereinbarung zum Verkauf der Marke Marc Jacobs an WHP Global getroffen. Der Abschluss der Transaktion wird nach behördlicher Genehmigung bis Ende des Jahres erwartet.

LVMH und WHP Global gaben am Donnerstag eine endgültige Vereinbarung bekannt, wonach die amerikanische Investmentfirma Marc Jacobs übernehmen wird. Über die Höhe der Transaktionssumme wurde Stillschweigen vereinbart.

Die 1997 von LVMH erworbene Marke wird ihren gleichnamigen Gründer Marc Jacobs nach Abschluss des Verkaufs als Kreativdirektor behalten.

WHP Global besitzt bereits die Marken rag&bone, G-Star und Vera Wang. Die Fertigstellung ist bis Ende des Jahres geplant, vorbehaltlich der erforderlichen behördlichen Genehmigungen.
