Ruto beruft David Nkedianye erneut zum Vorsitzenden des Instituts für Wildtierforschung

Präsident William Ruto hat den ehemaligen Gouverneur von Kajiado, David Nkedianye, erneut zum nicht geschäftsführenden Vorsitzenden des Vorstands des Wildlife Research and Training Institute ernannt.

Die Ernennung, die in einer Mitteilung im Amtsblatt vom 29. Mai 2026 bekannt gegeben wurde, verleiht Nkedianye eine neue dreijährige Amtszeit, die 2029 endet. Sie erfolgte gemäß Abschnitt 53(1)(a) des Wildlife Conservation and Management Act.

Nkedianye war von 2013 bis 2017 der erste Gouverneur des Kajiado County. In den Jahren 2017 und 2022 kandidierte er erneut für dieses Amt, blieb jedoch erfolglos.

Die Wiederernennung ist Teil umfassenderer Anpassungen bei staatlichen Behörden im Vorfeld der Parlamentswahlen 2027. Nkedianye bringt sich zudem für den Senatssitz von Kajiado in Stellung, wobei unklar bleibt, ob er seine Rolle im Vorstand beibehalten oder eine politische Wahlkarriere verfolgen wird.

President William Ruto announced at the funeral of former Ol Kalou MP David Kiaraho that construction of Nyandarua University will begin next month. They cover health facilities, transport authority, water agency, and foreign service.
