Supplement studies use 5 to 20 milligrams of elemental silicon daily, preferably in bioavailable forms like choline-stabilized orthosilicic acid. Foods rich in silicon include green beans, bananas, spinach, kale, brown rice, potatoes, lentils, peas, garlic, and onions. However, those with kidney disease should avoid it, and pregnant or lactating individuals should consult a doctor.
