Hundreds of SPPG in Jateng lack SLHS and halal certifications

Central Java Vice Governor Taj Yasin revealed that of 4,060 operating SPPG, only 3,345 hold SLHS and 575 have halal certification.

At a coordination meeting at the Central Java Provincial Government Office on Friday, June 12, 2026, Taj Yasin stated that the total number of SPPG in the province reached 4,635 units. Of that number, 715 do not yet have a Hygiene Sanitation Eligibility Certificate.

Yasin also noted that only 1,310 SPPG cooks are certified, or about 30 percent. He emphasized that every unit must meet certification requirements to ensure the food safety of the Free Nutritious Meal menu.

Meanwhile, 400 SPPG temporarily stopped operating due to delayed fund disbursement from the National Nutrition Agency. Central Java BGN Regional Coordinator Reza Mahendra confirmed the issue was resolved on June 11, 2026.
