AI GTA 6 videos draw millions of views amid fan wait

Fans of Grand Theft Auto 6 are seeing a surge of AI-generated videos on social media as they await an official gameplay trailer ahead of the game's November release.

These clips, posted on Instagram and TikTok, have accumulated millions of views. One Instagram video showing a character on a yacht reached 1.1 million views, while a surfing scene gained 1.2 million views and a TikTok clip of a character entering a car hit 4.4 million views.

Comments on the posts frequently call out the AI origins, with replies including phrases like "holy AI" and "GTA 6 but from Temu". Some videos contain clear errors such as misspelled text on screen and inconsistent visuals.

Rockstar Games has issued DMCA strikes against certain AI posts on X, a step welcomed by some users frustrated by the content. The videos appear to fill a gap left by limited official marketing for the title.
