Adolescente filipino muere ahogado tras caer desde el puente de Peng Chau

Un joven filipino de 17 años murió ahogado tras caer al mar desde un puente en Peng Chau, Hong Kong, la noche del viernes.

Según una fuente, el joven, quien poseía una tarjeta de identidad de Hong Kong, conversaba con dos amigos mientras estaba sentado en las barandillas del puente Chau Tsai en Peng Chau.

Alrededor de las 19:18 horas del viernes, se puso de pie sobre las barandillas y dio unos pasos antes de perder el equilibrio y caer al mar. Sus amigos lo vieron intentar nadar de regreso a la orilla, pero desapareció de su vista.

Los bomberos encontraron al joven inconsciente a unos 20 metros de la costa y lo trasladaron de urgencia al hospital Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern en Chai Wan, donde se certificó su fallecimiento.

La policía informó que no encontró circunstancias sospechosas y que la división de Cheung Chau de la fuerza está investigando el caso.
