El presidente José Antonio Kast nombró a Marcia Raphael como nueva subsecretaria de la Mujer y Equidad de Género, en reemplazo de Daniela Castro, removida el martes en medio de tensiones con la ministra Judith Marín.

El mandatario resolvió el cambio tras meses de diferencias entre Castro y Marín sobre la conducción del ministerio, despidos de funcionarios y la exposición pública de ambas autoridades. La presidenta del Senado, Paulina Núñez, había pedido a Kast intervenir en el conflicto, que también generó roces entre Renovación Nacional y el Partido Social Cristiano.

Castro, quien se desempeñaba como subsecretaria, había transmitido su malestar por la falta de autonomía y la relación insostenible con la ministra. Una asociación de funcionarias del ministerio defendió a Marín y acusó a RN de inventar el conflicto.

En paralelo, el gobierno ratificó a Carolina Rossi como subsecretaria de Ciencia de manera definitiva. Rossi ejercía el cargo de forma subrogante desde la salida de Rafael Araos en abril.
