Familia de Merlín visita mañanera de Claudia Sheinbaum

La familia del pato Merlín asistió el lunes 22 de junio a la conferencia matutina de la presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum en Palacio Nacional.

La mandataria destacó la historia de la familia y anunció apoyos para mejorar su calidad de vida tras la fama adquirida por el ave durante el Mundial 2026.

Carla Gómez, dueña de Merlín, explicó que el pato recibe comida especial para aves, verduras, frutas, proteínas, charales vivos y grillos. Los domingos recibe un taco de carnitas de un vendedor ambulante.

La familia recordó que Merlín llegó después de la muerte de Waffle en enero de 2024 y que Bruna, su predecesora, se hizo viral en 2020 por usar tenis. Ambas experiencias ayudaron en el cuidado actual del ave.

Gómez confirmó que el lunes iniciaron trámites ante el IMPI para registrar la imagen y marca de Merlín.
