Reducirán suministro de agua del sistema cutzamala a cdmx y edomex desde el 17 de mayo

Autoridades anunciaron que el envío de agua potable desde el sistema cutzamala a la ciudad de méxico y el estado de méxico bajará a partir del domingo 17 de mayo. La medida busca preservar el almacenamiento actual del sistema.

Citlalli peraza camacho, directora general del organismo de cuenca aguas del valle de méxico, informó que el caudal actual de 16 metros cúbicos por segundo se reducirá para cuidar los 546 millones de metros cúbicos almacenados.

La funcionaria habló durante el arranque del protocolo de operación conjunta para la prevención de inundaciones 2026 en nezahualcóyotl y ecatepec. Explicó que el sistema se encuentra al 69.79 por ciento de su capacidad.

Peraza camacho señaló que el volumen podrá incrementarse de nuevo si se requiere durante el mundial 2026. El sistema cutzamala abastece a la zona metropolitana de la ciudad de méxico y a municipios del estado de méxico como toluca, lerma y ocoyoacac.
