Ministra Steinert encabeza fiscalización migratoria en La Vega con 100 controles

La ministra de Seguridad Pública, Trinidad Steinert, dirigió este viernes una operación migratoria en La Vega Central de Recoleta, junto al director de la PDI, Eduardo Cerna. En el control participaron 75 funcionarios de la PDI y Carabineros, fiscalizando a 100 personas extranjeras. Se trasladaron 30 por infracciones administrativas y se detuvo a tres con órdenes pendientes.

La mañana del viernes 10 de abril, la ministra Steinert llegó a La Vega Central en Recoleta para encabezar un operativo de fiscalización migratoria. Acompañada por el director de la Policía de Investigaciones (PDI), Eduardo Cerna, la autoridad supervisó las acciones de 75 funcionarios de la PDI junto a Carabineros.

En total, se controlaron 100 personas extranjeras. De ellas, 30 fueron trasladadas a la Jefatura Nacional de Migraciones y Policía Internacional (Jenamig) para denunciar infracciones a la ley migratoria, como ingreso irregular o trabajo sin permiso, según la PDI. Estas corresponden a faltas administrativas ante el Servicio Nacional de Migraciones (Sernamig).

Adicionalmente, se detuvo a tres ciudadanos extranjeros que tenían órdenes de detención pendientes. Steinert explicó: “El sentido de esto es enfrentar el crimen organizado y saber quiénes se encuentran realmente en nuestro país. Queremos saber quiénes están en nuestra casa”.

La ministra destacó que estos operativos, repetidos en semanas recientes, continuarán de forma sorpresiva en zonas estratégicas de la Región Metropolitana. Cerna agregó: “No vamos a publicar los días ni las horas, pero esto está decretado y así lo vamos a revisar a nivel nacional”.
