El Ministerio de Minas y Energía anunció la reactivación de Puerto Voluntad a partir del 1 de julio para ampliar la capacidad logística del país.

El Ministerio de Minas y Energía anunció la reactivación de la antigua infraestructura portuaria de Impala bajo la nueva entidad Puerto Voluntad. La medida busca consolidar este sitio como el principal nodo energético y logístico multimodal de Colombia.

La reactivación comenzará el 1 de julio y recuperará cerca de 50 hectáreas de infraestructura, más de 1.200 metros de muelle y capacidad de almacenamiento de 850.000 barriles. El proyecto conectará con sistemas férreos y fluviales.

El ministro Edwin Palma señaló que "la reactivación de Puerto Voluntad marca el renacimiento de una infraestructura estratégica para Colombia". Agregó que el proyecto articulará la Refinería de Barrancabermeja, el río Magdalena y el corredor férreo La Dorada–Chiriguaná.
