Petróleos Mexicanos descartó un incendio en la Refinería Olmeca de Dos Bocas tras reportes de humo y fuego la madrugada del sábado. La empresa explicó que se trató de un flamazo controlado durante obras de mantenimiento en tanques de almacenamiento.

Pemex señaló en un comunicado que las operaciones se realizaron en los tanques de residuo de vacío con vapor de agua y venteos controlados. Alrededor de la medianoche se registró un flamazo en el exterior de uno de los tanques, que fue controlado de inmediato según los protocolos de seguridad.

La empresa aseguró que el evento no representó riesgo para el personal, las instalaciones ni la comunidad. Las operaciones de la refinería continúan con normalidad y los trabajos de mantenimiento siguen según lo programado.

Reportes iniciales de habitantes mencionaron una columna de humo y sirenas activadas, posiblemente en la planta coquizadora. Pemex aclaró que se trató de un procedimiento rutinario y no de un incendio.
