Detienen en Perú a hombre requerido por España por abusar de su nieta

La Policía peruana arrestó este martes a Evelindo López Díaz, de 76 años, en Trujillo por una alerta roja de Interpol emitida por España. El hombre está condenado en España a 11 años y seis meses de prisión por agredir sexualmente a su nieta menor entre 2012 y 2018. Será extraditado a Madrid en los próximos días.

La Policía Nacional del Perú capturó a Evelindo López Díaz en el distrito de Víctor Larco, en Trujillo, capital de la región de La Libertad. El arresto lo realizó personal de la División de Investigación de Alta Tecnología de la región junto con Interpol durante la tarde del martes.

El peruano de 76 años vivía prácticamente escondido y utilizaba otro domicilio como fachada. La captura se logró tras una labor de inteligencia policial, según fuentes oficiales.

López Díaz es requerido por las autoridades españolas desde 2012 por agredir sexualmente a su nieta menor en Madrid hasta 2018. Ya cuenta con una condena firme de 11 años y seis meses de prisión en España por agresión sexual a menor de edad.

El detenido será trasladado en los próximos días a Madrid para cumplir su pena.
