Criticó también el funcionamiento del Fomag y argumentó que miles de profesionales de la salud atienden ahora a poblaciones históricamente desatendidas.

El presidente resaltó el fortalecimiento de la red de hospitales públicos como un logro clave. “Tenemos dos sistemas entonces: hospitales públicos que crecen, que nacen, que se fortalecen, hospitales buques que navegan por el mar para cuidar a las gentes en el litoral, hospitales en los ríos navegando allá en la Amazonía, en la Orinoquía, para llegar a la aldea donde nunca llegaba un médico, barrios populares a los que llega una enfermera”, concluyó Petro.
