Tesla worker criticizes colleagues for filming accident scene

In Grünheide, a Tesla worker sharply criticized colleagues in an internal chat for filming a serious accident instead of helping. The incident happened during shift change on the way to Fürstenwalde. The HR department is reportedly reviewing the matter.

During shift change shortly before Easter, a line 437 bus carried dozens of Tesla workers from the Grünheide plant toward Fürstenwalde. Around 3 p.m., they passed a severe accident site with multiple vehicles involved. One employee later wrote in the company chat: "A car was upside down in the ditch. Rescuers were freeing a small child (maybe 4 or 5 years old) from the vehicle."

The bus stopped and doors opened. Instead of checking if assistance was needed, workers in work clothes pulled out their phones to film the scene. The complainant wrote in disbelief: "As if it were a spectacle. Honestly: Aren't you ashamed?!"

Internal chats among the roughly 11,000 Grünheide employees also record overcrowding, altercations, and other disturbing incidents. Tensions are running high: In early March, a new works council was elected, prompting a police deployment. The HR department is now reportedly examining one particularly harsh incident.
