Pinag-aaralan ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) at Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ang panukalang amnesty para sa mga driver ng transport network vehicle services (TNVS) na na-onboard kahit lumampas sa limitasyon ng sasakyan. Ayon kay DOTr Secretary Giovanni Lopez, lumampas na sa limitasyon ang ilang transport network companies (TNCs). Bukod dito, nagbaba ng commission rates ang mga ride-hailing platforms tulad ng Joyride at Grab.
Sa Manila, nagpahayag si DOTr Secretary Giovanni Lopez nitong weekend na lumampas na sa mga limitasyon ng driver at sasakyan ang ilang TNCs. Dahil dito, nahihirapan na ang maraming driver na naghulog ng utang para sa kanilang TNVS vehicles.
Upang tugunan ito, pinag-aaralan ng DOTr at LTFRB ang amnesty para sa mga driver na na-onboard kahit lumampas sa cap.
Samantala, nagbaba ng commission rates ang mga ride-hailing platforms. Bumaba sa 18 porsiyento mula 20 porsiyento ang Joyride, Angkas, at Maxim. Ang Move It ay 15 porsiyento mula 21 porsiyento, habang Para Xpress at Grabbike ay 15 porsiyento mula 20 porsiyento. Parehong bumaba sa 15 porsiyento ang Grab, Toktok, at Para Xpress mula 20 porsiyento, at zero porsiyento naman ang Lalamove Rides, Pure Ride, at Go Cab.
"Big boost toward efforts of the government to maximize the necessary assistance to the public transport sector amid the effects of the Middle East tensions," ayon kay LTFRB Chairman Vigor Mendoza II.
