Magpapatupad ang Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) ng pagbaba sa mga aeronautical fees at passenger service charges sa mga airport na pinamumahala nito simula Abril 1 upang mabawasan ang epekto ng pagtaas ng presyo ng fuel. Nag-anunsyo ang Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) ng pagbaba sa mga aeronautical fees, kabilang ang landing at takeoff charges, ng hanggang 50 porsyento o hanggang P5,000 bawat landing sa mga airport na pinamumahala nito. Sinabi ni Transport Secretary Giovanni Lopez sa press conference, “We will ensure that all transport groups, including operators, drivers, commuters, can count on the government to help. They can rest assured that we will make various initiatives to alleviate the effects of the conflict in the Middle East.” Ang hakbang na ito ay sumasabay sa pag-apruba ng pagtaas ng fuel surcharge mula Level 4 patungong Level 8 simula rin Abril 1, na magdadala ng mas mataas na singil sa mga domestic flights (P253-P787) at international flights (P835.05-P6,208.98). Dahil sa pagtaas ng presyo ng fuel, nagkansela at naglimit ng flights ang Cebu Pacific. Kamakailan, nagdeklara si Pangulong Marcos ng state of national energy emergency upang ipatupad ang mga hakbang na magpapababa ng mga gastos sa transportasyon.
