Inutusan ni Education Secretary Sonny Angara ang mabilis na pagtatayo ng mga silid-aralan na handa sa sakuna upang mapanatili ang pag-aaral kahit ginagamit ang mga paaralan bilang evacuation centers.

Ayon sa Department of Education, may 878 learning continuity spaces na itinatayo, kung saan 34 ang natapos na. Kasama rito ang 453 classrooms na kasalukuyang ginagawa at 391 naman sa yugto ng procurement.

Pinalalawak din ng ahensya ang procurement ng dalawang gusali na may limang classrooms bawat isa sa Romana C. Acharon Elementary School at H.N. Cahilsot Central Elementary School sa General Santos City, na target makumpleto sa buwang ito.

Bukod dito, may P226.4 milyong badyet para sa 109 ready-to-assemble classrooms sa pitong rehiyon, kung saan 83 ay itatayo sa Davao Region. Ang mga modular classrooms ay maaaring i-install sa loob ng apat hanggang walong linggo.
